For this task we got a choice of either a starter story or make a statement about everything good in life if free witch in my opinion i think its false, but anyway i choose to finish the story starter and create a beautiful piece of writing about a lost dog! i hope you enjoy reading all about my creative little story!
The day began with a huge, loud, cracking thunder storm. The noise was deafening and their old dog Sandy ran out the door in total fright. The kids ran after her worried that… My little sister, Sarah, and I ran after her, super worried. We didn’t want anything bad to happen to her. We got outside, and it was like buckets of water falling from the sky. I was soaked in two seconds flat. The rain made it hard to see, and the thunder just kept booming. “Sandy! Come back, girl!” I yelled, but it was like the thunder was laughing at me. Sarah was standing next to me, all wet and her hair sticking to her face. She was scared too. Sandy’s been our buddy for as long as I can remember, and we couldn’t let her down. So, we decided to go after her, into the storm. We followed the sound of Sandy’s barking, and it was scary. The trees were going wild, and I thought they might fall on us. Lightning lit up the sky, and it looked like a haunted forest in a movie. Finally, we found her under a big old oak tree in a clearing. Sandy was a mess, all wet and shivering. We went up to her really slow, talking nice and low to calm her down. “It’s okay, Sandy. We’re here. We won’t leave you,” my little sister told her. I reached my hand out, and Sandy came over and nuzzled it. It was like she knew we’d protect her. We made a little shelter under the tree with our rain jackets and a tarp we had in our backpack. We sat there, and the storm kept going, but we didn’t care. We told stories, sang songs, and made Sandy feel safe. After a while, the rain started to stop, and the thunder moved away. We knew it was time to go home. Sandy walked with us all the way. The world was all clean and smelled awesome after the rain. Back at home, we dried off and wrapped Sandy up in a warm towel. She lay by the fireplace on her favorite rug, all happy and cozy. We learned that even when things get crazy, being together as a family can make things better. We all went through that storm, and it made us even closer.
